Flatbed is excited to announce a new etching by Adrian Armstrong. Titled “NY 001”, Armstrong continues to explore relationships through portraiture. This etching was created in an edition of 14.

Flatbed Press is proud to announce the publication of three new woodcuts by David Everett. The newest to join his lexicon of southwestern creatures are Caracara, Roadrunner, and Kingfisher. These recent choices of Everett’s are all birds found in Texas. Roadrunner and Caracara are often seen in arid areas but the Kingfisher thrives near lakes, rivers, and other aquatic areas.

Flatbed is thrilled to announce the publication of a suite of color lithographs by Laura Crehuet Berman. Spanish-born artist Laura Crehuet Berman lives and works in Kansas City, Mo. Berman is the recipient of a 2023 Fulbright Award. Her work is widely collected and she has exhibited internationally at venues. The Ravel Suite is comprised of three color lithographs.

Jennifer L. Anderson is a painter and printmaker working in many disciplines. Her iconic and evocative imagery is informed by her experiences as a woman and a mother, as well as her love of the natural world. Flatbed invited Jennifer to bring her amazing drafting skills to Flatbed to create a stone lithograph in 2022

Flatbed is pleased to announce the signing and publication of Adrian Armstrong’s third published print, “Back Owned/Mini-Telfar.”

When Connie Arismendi collaborated with Flatbed’s printers in 2021 and 2022, she created a cycle of very large monoprints that featured cloud shapes that contained a single word.

Flatbed is excited to announce the publication of six new prints with Mexican-born artist Miguel A. Aragón. Aragón, who lives and works in New York City (USA) and Berlin (Germany) has exhibited internationally at venues including the Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery, Saratoga Springs, NY; Uferhallen, Berlin, Germany and the Society of Northern Alberta Print-Artists, Canada. His awards and residences include NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship; KALA Art Institute, Berkeley, CA; Zygote Press, Cleveland, OH; and Till Richter Museum, Buggenhagen, Germany.

Flatbed is thrilled to announce the distribution of our 2021 subscription print which is Lance Letscher’s “Therapy Bird.,” a 30 x 22-inch hand-colored soft-ground etching!

We are proud to announce our fifth publication with Melissa Miller! The color linocut published this year is titled Walrus. It is the first of a series of linocuts Miller intends to create. Walrus features not only a Walrus but other animals of the Arctic.

Announcing the publication of “INTAGLIO”, the catalog of images by Lance Letscher for the upcoming exhibition “Intaglio”. The 29 color pages catalog the new beautiful color etchings created by Letscher at Flatbed Press from 2020 - 2021. Read more about the catalog and come for the exhibition.

Ben Muñoz carved three woodblocks in July of 2021 for the Las Hermanas Suite. Each of the woodblocks refers to one of Muñoz’s three daughters and are titled with their names: Florence, Jane, and Daphne.

“The Six” was Lance Letscher’s third print to be published at Flatbed in 2020. The print which measures 45” x 31” is a dazzling image that combines drypoint linear constructs with color fields.

Flatbed is very pleased to announce the release of the two newest editions in Annalise Gratovich’s ongoing series of eight, Carrying Things From Home. The two new images titled, The Mother and The Undertaker are the fifth and sixth life-size woodcuts by the first generation Texas artist, representing life and hope, death and loss.

During the Covid year of 2020, Flatbed stayed busy working one-on-one with artist Lance Letscher creating a new body of works using intaglio and relief techniques.

Flatbed is pleased to announce the launch of its co-publication: Norma Trist, a Livre d’Artiste, with Houston-based artists Nick Vaughan and Jake Margolin. The artists have used the source text from the 1895 novel by John Wesley Carhart, a groundbreaking work that contains stunningly progressive defenses of same-sex desire, that was the foundation of their 2016 installation: "50 States: Texas".

Lance Letsche’s past printmaking experience and love of the intaglio process and mark making on copper has inspired a body of intaglio works created as co-publications with Flatbed Press.

Flatbed Press is proud to present Ship of Fools,, our first annual Flatbed subscription print, by the renowned artist, John Alexander. Ship of Fools is Flatbed’s 2020 Friends or Flatbed subscription publication made possible by the Friends of Flatbed who receive an annual print with their membership. Flatbed Press announces the publication of the new deluxe artist portfolio with Michael Ray Charles titled Every World Is A Head, Every Head Is A World. This monumental project was co-published with the support of The Black Studies Department of the University of Texas and has been in process since the fall of 2017.
